Six men are accused of kidnapping two people at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida and subjecting them to torture, according to investigators.
The alleged abduction began the night of May 29 at the Hollywood Beach resort, court records show. In a recently unsealed filing, authorities said one of the suspects pressured a victim and a witness to attend a car show in a remote area of Broward County. Prosecutors have charged Saul Alfonso Fajardo, 19; Justin Phihoang Le, 20; Amari Tamire Hill, 21; Anthony Teruel Hernandez, 18; Marikevies McNichols Jr., 19; and Weilen Hernandez, 20, with kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
According to the court documents, the two victims, whose names were not released, met with Fajardo and a female suspect in the resort’s parking garage. Once there, investigators say several people pulled guns and forced the victims into two separate vehicles.
Authorities allege Hill threw one of the victims against a car before forcing him into the front passenger seat. Le then allegedly threatened the victim, telling him, “If you try to get out, I’m going to end your life,” and adding, “I am going to kill you and your family.” Investigators said the victim complied because he feared for his life.
All six men were later arrested, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
