EXCLUSIVE TO FOX: A woman, who had evaded capture for almost six years following allegations of shooting two individuals, was apprehended in Florida on Wednesday. This arrest came just hours after the FBI included her in its “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list, accompanied by a $1 million reward offer.

Fifty-year-old KaShawn Nicola Roper faced charges for allegedly discharging several rounds at a vehicle in Missouri back in August 2020, resulting in injuries to two women, one of whom succumbed to her wounds.

“KaShawn Roper managed to evade authorities for nearly six years,” stated FBI Director Kash Patel in an interview with Fox News Digital. “Mere hours post her addition to the Ten Most Wanted list, a surge of tips led to her swift capture by our partners.”

The FBI reported that following Roper’s addition to the list on Tuesday, numerous NTOC tips emerged from Florida the next morning. Witnesses spotted someone matching Roper’s description hastily loading a car with personal items.

Authorities swiftly collaborated, using the vehicle’s description to perform a traffic stop, successfully detaining her.

Roper was subsequently booked into the Alachua County jail and is charged with second degree murder armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon in Missouri, along with a federal charge for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Patel added eight of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives have been captured in just over a year, more than double the previous four years combined.
