During intense protests against ICE in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, federal agents in Baldwin Park, California, apprehended an undocumented individual from Mexico who is a suspect in rape and other violent offenses.

In an exclusive video shared with Fox News, Arturo Terron-Quevedo could be seen being handcuffed near what appears to be the City Hall building.

The Baldwin Park Police Department issued a separate statement reiterating it does not participate in the enforcement of civil immigration laws.

“Our Baldwin Park police officers are not partaking in immigration enforcement activities, nor are we involved in their federal operations,” stated Police Chief Robert Lopez. “The officers of the Baldwin Park Police Department are dedicated to making sure our city remains a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and secure.”

Lopez also urged residents to refrain from “attacking law enforcement, carrying out acts of vandalism, or engaging in illegal activities against any officers.”
