Firefighter's body recovered from vacation getaway after weekend kayaking accident

Texas deputies found the body of a firefighter after his kayak overturned on a lake over the weekend.

According to Fox 4, the body of Juan Chaidez was discovered at Lavon Lake in Collin County, Texas, on Monday morning, as reported by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office. Chaidez had been missing since Saturday after his kayak capsized on the lake.
