Florida bodycam video shows trans stuent freak out, get arrested

A widely shared police body camera video appears to capture a tense confrontation between a University of Central Florida campus officer and a student who accused the officer of misgendering them before the encounter escalated into an arrest.

The footage shows Jarrett Vick, a 27-year-old UCF student with blue hair, shouting at the officer after police arrived at a campus building in response to an unrelated call.

“Why do you let those pigs get away with this? They are not supposed to be here,” Vick says near the beginning of the video, which was recorded in February 2025 and released Friday by Inside The Blue TV.

As the exchange intensifies, the officer tells Vick to lower their voice and warns that failure to comply could result in handcuffs. Vick responds by cursing at the officer.

“F–king try it. Are you threatening me? You’re threatening me,” Vick says, after which the officer radios for backup.

The officer then says, “He is having a breakdown,” prompting Vick to yell back, “She! She! Just say the right pronoun!”

Moments later, the officer pulls out pepper spray and repeatedly orders Vick to calm down. When Vick does not comply, the officer deploys the spray during the confrontation.

A university employee appears to step in and try to deescalate the situation.

“Get away! F–k you! F–k you, cop!” Vick screams, at which point the exasperated university worker starts walking away.

Later, Vick is seen screaming “She!” and stomping his foot as he yells at the cop for “misgendering” him, and asks the university employee to “please just tell them to use the right pronouns” because it is causing him “a lot of distress.”

Vick was eventually taken into custody in handcuffs, but not before being tased by another officer after reportedly trying to kick and swing at the cops, according to the video.

Later, the footage shows him being placed in the back of a squad car.

The bizarre incident reportedly took place on Feb. 5, 2025.

Approached by The Post, Vick said that he was being “f–king harassed by the cops,” and blamed them for him now “being harassed by the media.”

Vick, of Treasure Island, Florida, was charged with battery on law enforcement, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct on Feb. 5, 2025, according to court records.

Vick pleaded not guilty on all three charges, and his last court appearance was dated Jan. 16, although the cases were marked as closed according to Orange County records.

A mugshot showing Vick without the blue wig also appears in Orange County court records.

He is listed as male in his arrest records.

Neither Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor the University of Central Florida Police Department responded immediately to requests for comment Sunday.
