A Florida real estate investor and social media influencer and her husband were arrested during the Fourth of July weekend after authorities said they left two small children unattended in a hotel room at a Key Largo resort for as long as an hour while they consumed alcohol by the pool, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Jail records show Allison Sirica Cannella, 40, and Brian Nicholas Cannella, 43, both residents of Delray Beach, were each booked on two felony counts of child neglect.
Deputies were called to the Reefhouse Resort & Marina in Key Largo around 1:45 p.m. Saturday after resort staff reported entering a guest room where an unattended infant had reportedly been crying for an extended time.

When deputies arrived, they found two young children alone in nursery beds inside the room. Investigators said hotel employees later found the Cannellas at the resort pool, where the couple had been drinking alcoholic beverages.
According to investigators, surveillance footage, witness accounts and additional evidence suggested the children had been left by themselves for roughly 40 minutes to an hour.
The Florida Department of Children and Families was alerted, and the children were placed in the care of a family friend until child welfare officials arrived. Authorities said neither child sustained serious injuries.
