Florida woman allegedly drugs man she met at club, steals his nearly $100K Rolex: police

A woman was arrested after allegedly meeting a man at a South Florida club, going to his home and drugging him before stealing a Rolex watch valued at nearly $100,000, according to court records.

Lynda Mae Crouse, 32, is also accused of carrying out a similar scheme at least four other times in Miami-Dade County. A probable cause affidavit alleges she drugged victims and then took their valuables.

The Broward County case began with an April 12 meeting at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach. Police said Crouse approached the man and began speaking with him around midnight.

The pair exchanged Instagram information before going their separate ways. Around 1:20 a.m., the man later sent an Uber to pick up Crouse at her home and bring her to his residence, police said.

Crouse and the unidentified man drank several alcoholic beverages in his living room before he went to the bedroom to change clothes. While in the room, he suddenly began feeling “funny” and “extremely tired,” according to the affidavit.

As Crouse remained in the living room, the man said he heard a distinctive “clapping sound.” When he returned, he noticed that Crouse was “acting different” and had suddenly decided to leave. Within minutes of her departure, he fell asleep.

He woke several hours later still feeling strange and recalled the sound he had heard. He then checked his Rolex box in the living room and discovered that his gold, 40-millimeter, diamond-encrusted Rolex Presidential was missing.

The man gave police an appraisal stating that the watch was worth $98,400. He also identified Crouse in a photo lineup, according to the affidavit.

Months later, on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, Seminole police arrested Crouse and transported her to the Broward County Jail.

She faces a felony charge of second-degree grand theft and was released the next day after posting a $2,500 bond.

In a separate case investigated by Miami police, Crouse was accused of drugging a victim with zolpidem, a prescription medication used to treat insomnia.

Unlike the Broward County victim, that person underwent toxicology testing. The results confirmed the presence of zolpidem.
