A Florida woman allegedly tracked down her boyfriend after suspecting he had taken her car to meet another woman, then shot the woman in the vehicle with a pink Glock “to make a point,” police said.
Katherine Kelly, 25, had already confronted her boyfriend, Elijah Baker, by text about her suspicions that he was being unfaithful. According to a police report obtained by Space Coast Daily, Kelly also threatened to shoot someone.
Her suspicions intensified Friday night when Baker took her Volkswagen out for a drive.
Kelly, who lives in Cocoa, tracked the vehicle’s location and took an Uber to nearby Port St. John. There, police said, she found Baker inside the car with another woman, Angel Adenau.
Investigators said Kelly fired through the passenger side of the vehicle with a pink-and-black Glock, striking Adenau in the shoulder. Police did not disclose the severity of Adenau’s injuries.

Kelly initially told authorities that she had acted in self-defense. She later said she fired the weapon to “make a point” about her boyfriend’s alleged cheating, according to the report.
Kelly faces a charge of attempted first-degree murder, an offense punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
Inmate records also list charges of aggravated battery with a weapon and shooting into a vehicle.
