A Florida woman with blonde hair found herself under arrest after allegedly luring a man to her Miami residence via social media, only to reportedly rob him, as detailed by the police.
Authorities say 30-year-old Nicole Cano is facing charges of false imprisonment and strong-arm robbery. This follows accusations that she invited the victim to her upscale condo overlooking Biscayne Bay on the evening of April 11. The details were outlined in an arrest affidavit referenced by Local 10.
According to reports, Cano reached out to the man on Instagram, suggesting they “have drinks.” However, the casual invitation soon took an unexpected and sinister turn.
Police reports indicate that while the man was enjoying the balcony view, two other women emerged from a bedroom and joined Cano in confronting him.
The group demanded money from the man, who stated he had no cash on him, as per the report.
As he attempted to exit, a confrontation ensued, during which the women allegedly warned him that he “was going to pay,” authorities disclosed.
During the scuffle, the victim’s gold chain was yanked from his neck.
He managed to keep the chain, but a $300 gold cross pendant was taken before he broke free, fled the apartment and screamed for help, the affidavit states.
He later called police.

On May 1, the victim identified Cano in a six-photo lineup, according to the charging document.
Cano was arrested and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
She pleaded not guilty Tuesday and was assigned a public defender, court records show.
