Political analyst Lucy Caldwell discussed with Howard Kurtz on his show MediaBuzz the rumors surrounding Biden potentially concealing a cancer diagnosis. During this conversation, she opened up about her personal battle with the disease.

Caldwell remarked, “we just don’t know” if the White House intentionally kept the diagnosis undisclosed during his tenure, and she emphasized that cancer can develop swiftly.

“I actually will tell you something. I have cancer,” she said live on air.

“I am actively a cancer patient right now. I also feel great.”

She highlighted that cancer is an ever-changing illness and with numerous treatment options, it can be challenging to determine one’s exact health condition from one day to the next.

“You get the cancer diagnosis, it could be weeks or months before you know more about your cancer,” she said.

The brave panelist appeared to well up as she spoke about cancer being a winding journey and made a final call for compassion to anyone battling the disease.

“It is important that we show compassion and care and understanding about the nuance and complexities of these illnesses,” she said.

Kurtz and fellow panelist Clay Travis, who founded commentary website OutKick, voiced their well-wishes for Caldwell, and she said she is hoping to make a full recovery.
