Authorities in Los Angeles County are urgently searching for twin children who officials say were abducted by their father, prompting concern for their safety.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued a public appeal on Facebook, asking for help locating Solomon and Marozhina Sukonick, who were described as “at-risk” children.
Investigators said the twins were taken by their father, David Sukonick, at about 8 p.m. Thursday from the 1000 block of West Avenue J-8 in Lancaster.
Marozhina Sukonick, 9, is 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 90 pounds, according to the Sheriff’s Department. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white shirt with pink shorts.
Her twin brother, Solomon Sukonick, is also 4 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 90 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing blue shorts and a shirt of unknown color.
Officials are urging anyone who may know where the children are to contact law enforcement immediately.
The children and their father were last seen traveling in a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car with California license plates reading “SOLOYST.”
David Sukonick, 71, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair. Authorities said he was last seen wearing black pants, a white shirt and a blue bandana.
In a post on Facebook on July 13, David shared a photo of the kids. At least one person commented that the kids looked “miserable,” saying they hope they are okay.

“Praying these children are found safe!” the person wrote.
The social media for Sukonick is linked to a dance floor company called Bolo Productions.
“I design and build the floor so that I can maintain utmost quality control,” a statement signed by Sukonick read.
Authorities said they are currently asking for the public’s help and actively seeking information to help locate the kids, saying “there is concern for their well-being.” No other information has been provided.
