The couple, tragically killed while at an Arkansas state park, were cherished for their gentle nature and love for the outdoors, according to friends and family. They were deeply committed to their three children.
Clinton Brink, aged 43, and his wife Cristin, 41, lost their lives during a Saturday visit meant for enjoying the natural beauty near their recent home. Law enforcement apprehended 28-year-old Andrew James McGann on charges related to their deaths at Devil’s Den State Park.
“They were real nature enthusiasts. They enjoyed taking their daughters on outdoor adventures and were passionate about hiking,” shared Mary Hinebauch, who knew the couple from their previous church community in Miles City, Montana, with Fox News Digital.
“That wasn’t an unnatural place for them to be. They did tons of stuff like that.”
Amy, who knew the Brinks’ from their church in Miles City, Montana, said that the family were “wonderful people.”
Mary added, “Despite her busy life, Cristin excelled in nursing school while also nurturing her family. She even participated in volleyball during her time at Miles Community College, where she achieved her nursing degree.”
Mary expressed her sorrow, saying, “I had such affection for her, and this entire situation feels unreal. I wish there were something I could do to reverse this tragic event. It’s heartbreaking that they are no longer with us.”
