A disruptive passenger aboard a Frontier Airlines flight issued a bomb threat shortly after the aircraft landed at a Georgia airport on Sunday, authorities reported.
Frontier Flight 2539, arriving from Columbus, Ohio, had just reached Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and was taxiing to the gate around 5 p.m. when the alarming verbal threat was made, according to a spokesperson for Frontier Airlines who spoke with The Post.

“As a precautionary measure, in cooperation with local authorities, the aircraft was directed to a remote area while law enforcement addressed the situation,” Frontier Airlines stated.
Passengers were evacuated from the plane using air stairs and transported to the terminal by bus. Officials later determined that the threat was not credible.
The Atlanta police released a statement indicating that the incident involved an unnamed “unruly passenger.”
According to Air Traffic Control communications between the Frontier pilot and the control tower, the passenger had also issued a threat to harm a woman sitting next to him, as reported by 11Alive.

“He’s in his seat. He is starting to threaten to kill the lady who’s sitting next to him, and he is saying that he has a bomb on board,” the pilot said, per the outlet.
It is not immediately clear whether the passenger was arrested following the threat.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation will lead the investigation into the incident, cops said.
