A MAN has died and a five-year-old girl is among the 5 others injured after a mass shooting in Baltimore, cops have confirmed.

Gunfire erupted on Spaulding and Queensbury Avenue at approximately 8:46 pm local time on Saturday, striking several individuals who were dining outdoors.

Four men, one woman and the five-year-old girl were all found injured at the scene.

The ages of the adult victims range from 23 to 52.

A 38-year-old man in critical condition who received surgery late Saturday succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning, according to confirmation by the Baltimore Police Department to The U.S. Sun.

“The investigation is upgraded to a homicide,” they said.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed in a press conference last night that the injured child was shot in the hand.

“Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that the injury is very serious,” he said.

“One victim, a 38-year-old male, was pronounced deceased in the morning of August 10, 2025,” The U.S. Sun was told.

“The other victims, a 23-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 33-year-old man, and a 52-year-old man are believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.”

None of the victims’ identities have been revealed.

At the press conference held at the scene, Worley stated that it seemed the shooter “targeted” a group seated on the porch of a house.

“It appeared that some people were sitting outside on the porch and beside a vehicle enjoying crabs when someone opened fire,” he said.

When asked if it was a targeted attack, the Commissioner said, “I don’t think you shoot without having a target.

“I don’t know who they were targeting but i’m sure there was somebody who fired these shots that was targeting for somebody.”

Witnesses reported hearing “a barrage of rapid gunfire” but no weapon has been recovered.

With the investigation in its initial stages, few details are known.

“All we know is there is multiple rounds fired, multiple victims,” the Commissioner said.

“If anyone has any information please call our homicide unit.”

Homicide and detective units are on scene as the investigation continues.

As of Saturday night they have been unable to question the victims about a possible suspect as they were undergoing treatment.

“Detectives will be at the hospital interviewing any potential victims and witnesses to piece together the events that transpired,” Worley said.

Meanwhile, the area and nearby streets have been blocked off and the public urged to avoid the scene.

Anyone with information can contact Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7LOCKUP or the homicide unit at 3940-3962100.
