A TOP Democrat has been blasted for posting what appear to be horribly edited pictures of himself on Instagram.

Hakeem Jeffries quickly deleted the casual snaps of him looking cool in sunglasses when trolls caught on to the embarrassing edit.

Initially, the images of the 54-year-old House Minority Leader appear typical. He is casually dressed in a long white t-shirt, athletic pants, and sneakers, seemingly at ease in his hometown of New York City.

The politician was captured hanging out on the street and leaning on a bench, and captioned the post “home sweet home.”

But a closer look reveals that the bench behind Jeffries’ hip area is noticeably warped.

The bench slats appear to have been edited as he manipulated his waist to make it look thinner.

Online critics quickly caught on to the trick and reposted the now-deleted images to poke fun at the politician.

“He wishes he looked that good,” joked one X user.

Another person wrote, “Vain and stupid is not a good look.”

“He can bend a bench like a Marvel comic superhero,” said a different user.

“You’ve got a terrible social media team, my man. Work on those editing skills,” said a photographer named Kiel Phillips.

Some online users even accused Jeffries of using this tactic before, sharing other edited pictures of the politician.

Despite the outpouring of criticism online, Jeffries merely deleted the posts and went back to raging on social media over President Donald Trump.

TEXAS FLOOD SPAT

Days after the Photoshop fail, Jeffries appeared to partially blame Trump for the over 100 deaths caused by flooding in Texas.

The floods were caused by heavy rains that descended on the Central parts of the state on July 4 and flooded the Guadalupe River.

One of the hardest hit areas was Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls that’s seen 27 losses.

Donald Trump’s statement on Texas floods

“The Trump Administration is collaborating with State and Local Officials on the ground in Texas in response to the tragic flooding that occurred yesterday.”

“Our Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, will be there shortly.

“Melania and I are praying for all of the families impacted by this horrible tragedy.

“Our Brave First Responders are on site doing what they do best. GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES, AND GOD BLESS TEXAS!”

Around 150 individuals remain unaccounted for, and lawmakers across the US are providing support as local authorities pledge to continue search and rescue operations until everyone is found.

As the search continues, Jeffries posted a video on Instagram saying that Trump’s administration “decimated” the National Weather Service before the floods.

“Why was the state government not better prepared?” he wrote on Instagram.

“How will the failed Trump administration do things differently in the future in order to save lives?”

Jeffries and other Dems claim that the president’s cost-cutting measures prevented the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the NWS from providing life-saving aid.

However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called this a “depraved lie.”

She called the accusations “politically motivated” and said pointing fingers at the president “serves no purpose during this time of national mourning.”

The press secretary insisted the NWS “did its job” and issued accurate alerts well before the waters surged in the early hours of the morning.

“To any person who has deliberately lied about these facts surrounding this catastrophic event, you should be deeply ashamed,” she said.
