'look forward to sending her home soon'

The saga of Anna Delvey, the infamous impostor and fake heiress, may soon see a significant shift as federal authorities are reportedly moving forward with plans to deport her to Germany. According to statements given to The Post, officials are eager to resolve her current status and send her back to her homeland.

“She has consistently undermined the integrity of the United States legal and immigration systems,” a representative from the Department of Homeland Security commented. “Although she is temporarily out on bail with an ankle monitor pending her deportation appeal, we anticipate her return to Germany shortly.”

Anna Sorokin, better known by her alias Anna Delvey, originally entered the United States on a tourist visa in 2017. She overstayed her welcome, which has since classified her as an “illegal alien” with criminal implications, according to immigration officials.

Recently, the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant grabbed headlines with a viral video showcasing her fashion prowess, as she adeptly donned tights over her ICE-issued ankle monitor.

Back in 2019, the now 35-year-old was found guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court on charges of second-degree larceny, attempted grand larceny, and theft of services. Her elaborate scheme was designed to infiltrate elite social circles by masquerading as a wealthy European heiress.

In 2019, the 35-year-old was convicted in Manhattan Supreme Court of second-degree larceny, attempted grand larceny, and theft of services as part of her scheme to hobnob with high society while pretending to be a European heiress.

The so-called SoHo Scammer skipped out on an $11,518 tab for a June 7 to June 27, 2017 hotel stay at the Beekman in the tony nabe. Then she checked in to the swanky W New York hotel for a two night stay and balked at her $503.76 bill.

She also stuck her supposed friend with a $62,000 bill for a stay at an opulent villa in Marrakech in May of that year.

On another trip to Morocco in 2017, Delvey stiffed Sir Richard Branson’s five-star resort Kasbah Tamadot out of a $20,000 bill.

She further refused to pay for private jet company Blade $35,000 for flying her to a Berkshire Hathaway Annual shareholders meeting in Omaha, Neb., in May 2017.

Delvey was sentenced to 4 to 12 years, but was released in Feb 2021.

In March 2021, she was taken into custody by ICE due to her visa violation and was held by ICE until Oct. 2022, when she was released under electronic monitoring.

Lawyers for Delvey did not respond to a request for comment.
