Spencer Pratt’s wife Heidi Montag spotted holding mic after his Los Angeles mayoral loss

Heidi Montag Steps into Spotlight: Post-Mayoral Run Drama Unfolds in Los Angeles

Although Spencer Pratt has yet to make a public appearance following his withdrawal from the Los Angeles mayoral race, his wife, Heidi Montag, seems to be stepping back into the limelight with a renewed focus on her music career.

Montag, 39, widely recognized for her reality TV stint alongside Pratt, was spotted in Montecito on Wednesday. She was seen carrying a microphone as she strolled through the upscale community in Santa Barbara County on her way to the gym.

Casually dressed in sweatpants and sunglasses, the mother of two offered smiles and waves to onlookers while making her way to her workout session.

It’s possible that Montag was heading to a rehearsal after her gym visit, as she is scheduled to perform later this summer.

Montag is set to take the stage at the Neon Skies Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, on July 18.

According to festival organizers, her performance will include tracks from her albums Superficial and Heidiwood, as well as her latest single, “Ex Machina.”

Montag is continuing to balance her entertainment career years after first rising to fame on MTV’s The Hills while dealing with the national buzz over her husband’s headline-making run for mayor.

Spencer was photographed earlier this week in his first public outing since falling behind rival candidate Nithya Raman in the closely watched Los Angeles mayoral race – but has yet to make an official statement conceding the mayor’s race against incumbent Karen Bass and socialist Nithya Raman.

Spencer has, however, continued to reference the mayor’s race on social media, clapping back at petty putdowns from the likes of liberal late-night host, Jimmy Kimmel.

Pratt was pictured walking through a parking lot in Carpinteria while wearing a black “HEIDIWOOD” T-shirt promoting Montag’s music.

He paired the shirt with black shorts, sneakers and a baseball cap while carrying a bag through the coastal community.

Montag’s relationship with Pratt was one of the hit MTV reality show “The Hills” defining storylines.

The pair later returned to television on “The Hills: New Beginnings” and have continued building their media presence through projects including their podcast, “The Fame Game with Spencer and Heidi.”

Outside television, Montag launched a music career with the release of her 2010 album “Superficial.”

With Pratt’s political campaign now behind him, the latest pictures of both suggest they are turning back towards entertainment.
