In a touching moment, Pasadena Humane welcomed one of its most poignant arrivals yet: Peanut, a brave little soul who has endured severe trauma, leaving him without the majority of his nose and with a dislocated jaw.

Despite his critical state upon arrival, staff members attest to his remarkable resilience and unwavering spirit. The veterinary team is committed to providing Peanut with the comprehensive care he urgently requires.

Since there isn’t enough skin to cover the wound, his nose will need to heal gradually from the inside out in the upcoming weeks.

Currently, Peanut is equipped with a delicate stent to keep his nostrils open during the healing process, offering him the best chance at a healthy and joyful future.

While Peanut’s path to recovery is ongoing, Pasadena Humane is appealing to the community for their support, ensuring Peanut and others in similar situations receive the critical care they need.

Contributions to the Miracle Medical Fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $7,500, thanks to the generosity of Fetch Pet Insurance.

For now, Peanut is under careful watch each day and may need more procedures if his airway narrows again.
