A Pokémon-themed video released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to highlight immigration arrests is going viral.
The video clip, which had garnered over 37 million views on X by midday Tuesday, depicts federal agents arresting suspects on U.S. grounds with the iconic theme song of a popular TV show playing in the background.
“I will travel across the land, searching far and wide,” a voice sings in the video as men are seen being placed in handcuffs.
The Pokémon Company and Nintendo did not immediately respond Tuesday to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
In a protest at Broadview, Illinois, on September 19, 2025, agents gathered outside an ICE processing center. This coincided with the Department of Homeland Security’s release of a Pokémon-themed video this week that showcases recent ICE arrests.
The video features mocked-up cards including Nery Garcia Linares, a 32-year-old from Guatemala who is accused of being a sexual predator, apprehended by ICE in Newark on September 18. It also includes Moises Lopez-Zapeda, referred to by DHS as a 44-year-old “criminal alien” from Mexico, arrested by ICE in Houston on September 19.
DHS reported that Lopez-Zapeda had a previous conviction for intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle in Rockwall County, Texas, for which he served a 12-year prison sentence.
Hossein Sharifi, a 67-year-old accused of child sexual abuse from Iran, was detained by ICE in Atlanta on September 5, 2025, according to DHS. The image shows federal agents preparing to make an arrest in the Atlanta region on February 5, 2025.
Both cards have a snowflake symbol – apparently representing ICE – to indicate their weakness.
