Houston, We Have an Insurrection

“Once a thriving metropolis, Los Angeles has been overrun by illegal immigrants and lawbreakers. Now, our federal agents are facing violence from large groups trying to halt deportation efforts.”

Truth Social, President of the United States

It’s now clear: we are witnessing a true insurrection. Unlike previous claims, when progressive Democrats labeled the January 6th riots as an insurrection, leading to thorough legal pursuits.

The events of January 6th started as a political demonstration and escalated into a riot. Compared to typical riots, it was relatively minor, but it briefly overtook the US Capitol with some cooperation from staff and those linked to the FBI. A protestor lost their life at the hands of authorities, while the opposite did not occur. Most of those arrested faced charges of trespassing. Nevertheless, the government poured significant effort into capturing and imprisoning them for extended periods, disregarding their right to a swift trial, seemingly to make a statement rather than enforce specific legal violations.

Democratic Party bosses labeled this an insurrection and formed a panel of progressive politicians (sans any conservative politicians) to advertise and politicize the event. In reality, if this was an insurrection, it was the lousiest and weakest attempt at one ever in the history of Western civilization. Nobody burned anything, nobody threw rocks at law enforcement, and two or three were found to have brought guns. Some were found to have brought bear spray. In the real world, nobody is going to overthrow a government with bear spray. (Now remember, I’m not defending those types for what they did. I’m comparing them to what those types are doing now.)

However, in LA, we have an actual insurrection now. This has been thoroughly covered on this website already, so there’s no need for me to list the videos and accounts. In the parlance of current political-speak, “Make no mistake” and “Let me be clear,” we have an insurrection against the federal government that dovetails perfectly with any sane definition of it.

Good on the president for calling it out for what it is.

Eventually, the government will win, and order will be restored because Trump clearly has the one thing in his quiver needed to deal with it. He has the political will. Nobody in the previous four years ever did. Biden, nor his cabal behind the curtain, nor his Democratic mayors, nor their police forces who were subservient to those political machines, nor their cheerleaders in the Congress and media, ever had the political will to stand up and end, or call for an end, to the BLM and progressive riots, that struck our cities and burned them up.

This is different. This isn’t just a bunch of goons throwing rocks and burning cars because they “see injustice.” This is a bunch of goons throwing rocks and burning cars because they want to stop the enforcement of federal law by federal officers through violence. That’s what insurrection is.

Any act of rebellion or insurrection against the U.S. government constitutes a serious federal crime punishable by serious jail time and fines. This crime is embodied under Title 18 U.S. Code 2383.

There’s no nuance here, and either the government is going to prosecute these people or it isn’t. J6 can be argued as either a riot or an insurrection. Los Angeles cannot. It’s an insurrection, and it’s an insurrection against the federal system that we all vote for every time there is an election. No one here votes for a system based on laws that are followed only by those like them, and no one here votes for laws that apply to some but not others. In the end, you might get people who live by the former, but that’s what jail is for.
