In a series of decisive actions, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took into custody several illegal immigrants with serious criminal records, including convictions for crimes such as child sexual assault and armed robbery. This comes amidst a significant rise in attacks on ICE officers, which have reportedly surged by over 1,150%.

Among those apprehended was a national from El Salvador, who faced multiple child rape charges in Massachusetts. Other arrests spanned across states like New Jersey, New York, Texas, and California, involving individuals convicted of various violent offenses.

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), emphasized the unyielding dedication of law enforcement officers despite the alarming increase in assaults against them. “Even with a staggering 1,153% rise in attacks, our officers remain committed to apprehending the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens,” McLaughlin stated in her communication with Fox News Digital.

The recent arrests targeted individuals labeled as “pedophiles, sexual predators, and armed robbers,” according to McLaughlin. She underscored that violence directed at law enforcement would not deter their mission to safeguard American communities by removing criminal elements.

DHS highlighted that the operation successfully captured some of the most notorious offenders, ensuring they are removed from neighborhoods across the country.

According to DHS, some of the “worst of the worst” offenders nabbed include:
