An undocumented immigrant in Pennsylvania, who was in training to become a corrections officer, has been arrested on charges of rape and other sexual crimes, federal officials announced on Friday.

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Ibrahim George Kallon, a national of Sierra Leone, entered the U.S. on a visa that is set to expire in 2024. However, he remained in the country unlawfully beyond the permitted time.

Kallon was apprehended by the Glenolden Police Department on February 11 while he was undergoing training for a position as a corrections officer at Delaware County Prison, as stated by ICE.

Kallon’s charges include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, false imprisonment, and indecent assault.

ICE expressed frustration on social media, noting that despite an immigration detainer placed on Kallon, Delaware County Prison released him back into the community, necessitating ICE officers from the Philadelphia branch to locate and arrest him at large.

“Delaware County Prison sent him back into the community despite an ICE immigration detainer, so ICE @EROPhiladelphia officers had to arrest him at-large,” ICE wrote in a post on X.

“If the county won’t protect its own residents, we’ll do it for them,” the post continued.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the sheriff’s office and district attorney’s office.

In January, ICE detained Morris Brown, 45, a Liberian citizen accused of “masquerading as a U.S. citizen” and working as a Minnesota Department of Corrections prison guard, the Department of Homeland Security said at the time.

Investigators looking into Brown also found evidence of marriage fraud prior instances where he falsely claimed to be a U.S. citizen in official documents, DHS said.
