Exposed: Tim Walz and Ilhan Omar Caught Posing in Photos with Illegal Somali Fraudster

Recently surfaced photographs have thrust Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar into the spotlight as they are seen alongside Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, a Somali native with a history of fraud convictions and illegal residency in the United States.

Abdul Dahir Ibrahim’s criminal record is no secret; he was previously convicted of asylum and welfare fraud in Canada. His story highlights persistent issues within the immigration system over several decades. Despite being deported from Canada in 1995, Ibrahim managed to enter the United States through New York, remaining undetected by authorities for years.

The Department of Homeland Security has acknowledged the oversight, noting in a social media update that deportation orders for Ibrahim were not issued until 2004. It took until this year, 21 years later, for him to face arrest in the U.S.

A post by the DHS succinctly captured the sentiment surrounding his arrest with the words, “Bye-bye, Abdul.”

During his time in the United States, Ibrahim accumulated a series of traffic and parking violations, illustrating a pattern of disregard for legal norms. In 2002, he was caught driving without a valid license in Minnesota and provided false information to police officers, resulting in a fine and a year of probation.

Despite his checkered past, Ibrahim managed to mingle with some of Minnesota’s prominent political figures. He has been photographed alongside Governor Walz, Representative Omar, and Omar Fateh, a former Minneapolis mayoral candidate, underscoring how his presence went largely unnoticed by the political and legal systems for decades.

DHS posted those images of Ibrahim cozying up to the stars of the Democratic Party.

Ilhan Omar’s Tight Connections to Minnesota Fraudsters Who Stole Hundreds of Millions in Welfare Racket

These bombshell photos of Walz and Omar posing in friendly photos with the illegal Somali fraudster couldn’t come at a worse time for the Minnesota Democrats.

Walz is already facing intense scrutiny and mounting calls for an investigation as to his role in allowing the state’s exploding multi-billion-dollar welfare fraud schemes to take place under his watch. Those schemes, as reported by RedState on Friday, involving taxpayer-funded fraud across multiple public assistance programs, could amount to over $8 billion in total.

Billion, with a B.

And a significant percentage of the fraud was allegedly perpetrated by members of the state’s large Somali community. Omar has long been a vocal advocate for the community. She moved to the United States in 1995, when she was 12, after her family fled the civil war in Somalia.

The congresswoman has not been accused of any wrongdoing in any of these fraud scandals, but the newest photo evidence and reports make it clear she’s at least familiar with some of the people who travel in these circles.

Aside from being photographed with Ibrahim, RedState Editor Bob Hoge revealed that Omar “has strong relationships with at least two scammers.”

Those scammers were Salim Ahmed Said, who held Omar’s 2018 campaign victory party in his restaurant, and Guhaad Hashi Said, who worked on the “Squad” members’ campaigns in 2018 and 2020.

Salim reportedly was convicted on 21 counts this past March, including wire fraud, federal programs bribery, and money laundering, after pocketing a cool $5 million. Guhaad pleaded guilty in August after falsely claiming to serve 5,000 meals a day to earn benefits from Minnesota’s Feeding Our Future program. He pocketed a not insignificant $3.2 million.

Omar, when confronted by CNN about the alleged widespread fraud, struggled to explain what was going on. Her response was shifty at best.

“I think what happened, um, is that, you know, when you have these, kind of new programs that are, um, designed to help people, you’re oftentimes relying on third parties to be able to facilitate,” Omar told Jake Tapper. “And I just think that a lot of the COVID programs that were set up — they were set up so quickly that a lot of the guardrails did not get created.”

Again, Omar and Walz have not been accused of any malfeasance involving the Minnesota Somali fraud scandal. Walz, though, has been accused by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem of being “an idiot” and/or intentionally allowing the fraud to take place under his nose.

With these damning photos now in the open and Minnesota’s welfare fraud scandal ballooning into the billions, one has to ask: Just how deep does the rot go in the land of lakes?
