Cam Skattebo is on the mend and active once more.

Despite having undergone ankle surgery just weeks ago, the Giants’ new running back found himself in the spotlight during WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” event at Madison Square Garden. His participation came in the form of a scripted showdown.

Skattebo, along with other Giants teammates, enjoyed the action from ringside seats when wrestler Dominik Mysterio made his way to their area to taunt comedian Andrew Schultz.

“The only decent thing coming out of New York City is right here in front of you,” Mysterio declared to Schultz, who stood next to Skattebo.

He continued, “The only championship New York has witnessed in… what’s the count, Cam? How many years? Oh, he doesn’t know. He can’t count.”

After Mysterio pushed Schultz, Skattebo rose to the occasion, confronting Mysterio head-on as his fellow Giants rallied around him.

Skattebo, 23, appeared to be leaning against the railing for the scripted scuffle, during which he was moderately shoved multiple times and did some pushing of his own.

The fan-favorite Skattebo is recovering from a dislocated right ankle, which he suffered during the Giants’ Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 26.

Skattebo attended Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers at MetLife Stadium, where he wore a protective boot and used a scooter.

During a recent appearance on the streaming platform Twitch, Skattebo shared an update on his injured ankle, which included him flexing his foot back and forth.

“I can even move my toes and s–t,” Skattebo said. “I can get pretty far, honestly. If I just lean forward, I can almost make it touch the ground. I’m getting better every day.”

Known for his physical running style, Skattebo scored seven touchdowns in eight games.

Among the other Giants who participated in the “Monday Night Raw” stunt was rookie pass rusher Abdul Carter, who was benched for the first six defensive snaps on Sunday due to a team violation.

The Athletic reported Carter slept through a walk-through, though the 22-year-old refuted that claim.

“Was not sleep, actually doing recovery,” Carter wrote on social media in a post that has since been deleted. “Nonetheless that’s on ME!”

Veteran defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris also had a prominent part in the “Monday Night Raw” melee.
