AN INVENTOR popular on social media shared several concerning videos before he suddenly stopped posting earlier this month.
His seemingly sudden departure from the internet sparked missing persons’ rumors from many of his nearly 2 million followers.
Julian Brown, who has amassed over 1.8 million followers for his engineering content on both TikTok and Instagram, stopped posting on July 9, 2025.
This led to concern from his followers over his well-being after Brown, 21, made a post saying he was in danger.
“I’m certainly under attack. I can’t go into so much detail,” he said in the video, where he appeared to look around worriedly.
“Something is happening, keep me in your prayers please. SCREEN RECORD THIS. I don’t know,” he captioned the clip.
In the days leading up to his posting hiatus, Brown wrote that he was working on “the most dangerous thing” he’s ever done.
He shared a video about the project on X, writing in the caption, “Grateful for my safety, let’s change the world!”
Brown is known online for his videos on making “plastoline,” or a type of fuel he claims he has been able to make using plastic waste.
Brown claims his innovations can transform plastic waste into practical fuels like gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, aiming to tackle the global plastic issue.
His mission was to address the global plastic problem by creating the device that transforms plastic waste into fuel.
Just two weeks prior, the inventor shared on his YouTube channel that he and his family were “under attack right now from an extremely powerful force.”
He told his followers at the time, “I need your prayers and awareness.”
However, Brown’s mother, Nia, confirmed to The Daily Mail on July 28, 2025, that her son was safe, though she couldn’t provide more details.
“In the best interest of his security I’m not able to provide any more information,” she said.
Fans began fearing the worst after noticing his absence on social media, but the Atlanta Police Department confirmed that no investigation was underway for someone by his name.
“I can confirm that the Atlanta Police Department is not currently investigating any missing persons by that name,” police told The U.S. Sun.
In a June 2025 post, Brown claimed that a helicopter had been circling him, and asked followers to pray for him.
He also claimed that he knew he wasn’t “going to live long,” and speculated that helicopters had been following him.
Brown, who developed NatureJab, claimed he had been “falsely accused” and reported to both the Internal Revenue Service and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Viewers crowded the comments of his videos, questioning the whereabouts of the “plastoline” inventor, with some proposing theories about his possible disappearance.
“Where have you been,” commented one X user, while another added, “We’re all worried.”
“The work you are doing is dangerous,” another posted.
“I hope you are doing well and are safe after the last few posts you made.”
In his last Instagram video, which has almost 380,000 likes at the time of writing, Brown claimed again that he was “under attack.”
“I just want everybody to know to have their eyes open,” Brown said. “I’m just telling you guys right now: be on the lookout.”
