Iran publicly admitted for the first time Wednesday that its nuclear sites were âbadly damagedâ by the American bunker-busting bombs.
The Foreign Ministry in Tehran has not provided detailed information about the full scope of the damage. This admission aligns with a statement from the White House, which criticized a leaked preliminary intelligence report of “low confidence.” This report suggested that the impacts of the strikes were not major and might only delay Iran’s program by a few months.
President Trump has asserted that the bombing over the weekend resulted in Iran’s “total obliteration,” stating firmly on Wednesday that it has set Iran back “essentially decades.”
“Israel is currently compiling a report on the situation, as I understand it, and I was informed that they have described it as total obliteration,” Trump told reporters at the 2025 NATO summit on Wednesday.
âYou know they have guys that go in there after the hit, and they said it was total obliteration,” went on. “I believe it was total obliteration.”
