Iran 'frighteningly close' to a nuclear weapon, Energy secretary warns

Energy Secretary Chris Wright issued a stark warning on Wednesday regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions, stating that the country is “frighteningly close” to acquiring weapons-grade enriched uranium.

During his testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, Wright emphasized the urgency of the situation. “Iran is just a matter of weeks away from enriching uranium to weapons-grade levels,” he explained. “While there remains a subsequent weaponization process, they are alarmingly near that threshold.”
