Famed influencer Jacquie Alexander has responded to critics who accused her of staging her recent wedding for social media clout.
Last month, the 33-year-old tied the knot with Nathan Ephraums, a 26-year-old hockey player, in a picturesque ceremony in Melbourne.
Jacquie, who shared many moments from her wedding day on social platforms, has addressed skeptics who claim her dream wedding was merely a performance.
On Wednesday, she took to TikTok to confront these harsh remarks directly.
“Apparently, my acting skills are top-notch, since you believe my wedding was fake,” Jacquie told her audience of 524,000 followers.
She also highlighted a particularly biting comment: “They don’t even love each other, they’re just doing it for the cameras,” quoting one of the detractors.
Popular influencer Jacquie Alexander has hit back at trolls who have claimed her recent nuptials were faked for social media
‘Yeah, we didn’t actually know each other. I actually hired him,’ she added sarcastically.
‘It’s time I came clean. The only reason I got married was to make content. The first time I met Nathan was when I saw him at the altar.’
Jacquie said she had looked at some of the nastier comments that TikTok had filtered out and was shocked by what she saw.
‘Some of you are actually horrible and you need to look internal,’ she said.
She explained much of the criticism came from the fact that she employed people to document the occasion – something her parents did decades earlier.
‘I’m going to hold your hand while I say this. My parents got married over 30 years ago, and they had a videographer at their wedding. They had a photographer at their wedding,’ she said.
‘When I make videos and post videos about my wedding, suddenly the only reason I got married in the first place was to make videos.’
Jacquie added that she barely gave posting a thought on her big day, leaving that in the hands of her content manager.

Jacquie continued: ‘As someone who does this as a career, it takes me five seconds to film a video – I don’t film them a hundred times… It’s a one-hit wonder.’
‘I was barely on my phone. The videos I have been making and posting in the past few days, they are thanks to Olivia getting all the clips. I didn’t film a single clip on my iPhone.
‘This somehow means Nathan and I don’t love each other and we don’t have the connection.’
Jacquie’s post was met with a flurry of support from fans, with many swooning over her nuptials.
‘Your wedding was dreammyyy af!! The way I was waiting for all the vids… they were fire,’ one swooned.
‘The fact that you have to explain this to people is crazy. Why are people so obsessed with hating lol,’ added another.
