Minneapolis protester clashes with Fox News star Laura Ingraham

Fox News commentator Laura Ingraham encountered a heated confrontation with a protester while on the streets of Minneapolis.

During Thursday’s episode of the Ingraham Angle, Ingraham ventured outside to interview individuals rallying against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations. These demonstrations were sparked by the death of protester Renee Nicole at the hands of an ICE officer.

One demonstrator, her face partially obscured by a scarf, accused Ingraham of being a “disgrace to the human race.”

As Ingraham described the scene, pointing to a makeshift wooden barricade blocking a road, the protester shouted “agitator” at her.

Ingraham responded by noting, “They apparently are policing our borders… which is fascinating.”

Undeterred, the protester chanted “Shame! Shame! Shame!” prompting Ingraham to retort that the protester was “boring.”

When Ingraham asked the protester if she had a job, the demonstrator replied, ‘I’m getting paid right now.’

Ingraham then shared that the protesters gave her team the middle finger as they left the demonstration.

‘I think they secretly liked us though,’ she told her viewers.

Demonstrations have continued across Minnesota after an ICE agent, later identified as Jonathan Ross, 43, fatally shot a woman named Renee Nicole Good, 37, on Wednesday.

Chilling video footage of the shooting depicted Good attempting to drive away from ICE officers after blocking their path before shots rang out.

The Department of Homeland Security defended Ross, claiming Good was going to strike officers with her car in an ‘act of domestic terrorism.’

However, eyewitnesses and local officials have disputed that defense, arguing that Good was trying to drive away when she was fatally shot.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz condemned the Trump administration for the influx of ICE raids, adding that unwarranted violence was inevitable.

Frey called ICE’s characterization of the killing ‘bulls***’ and warned federal officials to ‘get the f*** out’ of his city.

Good’s death has been politicized and resulted in protests across the state. Ingraham attended a vigil at the scene of the shooting and a demonstration at the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building on Thursday.

She confessed that the protests she attended were peaceful and felt like a ‘community, civic event.’

Ingraham described the vigil as a community gathering around a fire with food. However, she said that she was quickly escorted out of the demonstration.

She added that the protests were smaller than they looked on television. Ingraham said some of the demonstrators seemed to be genuinely in mourning, while others seemed to be protesting out of ‘recreation.’

The city has been embroiled in protests since Good’s death, putting heightened attention on Minnesota.

The Minneapolis Public School District announced on Wednesday that schools would be closed on Thursday and Friday due to unrest.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said it would be the leading agency investigating Good’s death.

Walz has cast doubt on the investigation and has advocated that local law enforcement should oversee it instead.

US Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith wrote in an open letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi that state and local law enforcement should be involved in the investigation.

Good’s death has also motivated lawmakers to call on the Trump administration to decrease ICE raids nationwide.

Vice President JD Vance defended Ross during a press conference on Thursday, telling reporters: ‘He’s done a very important job for the United States.

‘He’s been assaulted, attacked, and injured because of it. He deserves a debt of gratitude, and the media pre-judging this guy as if he’s a murderer is one of the most disgraceful things I’ve ever seen.’

Meanwhile, Frey said at a press conference that his office didn’t trust federal authorities with the investigation, calling Vance’s comments about Ross ‘pretty bizarre.’
