The primary objective of the entire education system is to prepare young individuals, as future citizens, with skills that are valuable in the marketplace. Ideally, these skills should also foster an understanding and appreciation for the unique experiment in liberty that characterizes the United States of America.
However, Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), seems to have a different perspective. Her vocal activism appears to disregard education and oppose the principles of effective education. She acts more like an agitator than an educator, and nowhere is this more evident than today. For example, at a “No Kings” rally in Philadelphia on Saturday, she delivered a particularly frenzied speech. Her behavior was as if she had an uncontrollable case of St. Vitus’s dance or some unwanted creature scurrying in her clothing. Here’s a glimpse:

What is with this person? Does she own stock in an itching powder factory, and is test-marketing their product?
Admittedly, these videos have a strange allure, akin to watching a train wreck collide with another. However, the conclusion we can draw from her actions is that she should not have any role in the nation’s education system.
Over 1,500 rallies will be held against Donald Trump across the USA tomorrow as part of what organizers have dubbed “No Kings Day.”
Critics say unions taking part are undermining their members by taking an overtly partisan stance. The American Federation of Teachers, American Postal Workers Union, and Communications Workers of America are all listed as partners of No Kings Day.
AFT president Randi Weingarten is set to speak at the Philadelphia No Kings Rally.
School choice activist Corey DeAngelis told The Post Weingarten’s involvement reveals “that teachers unions are more invested in political activism than in prioritizing education.”
“Their actions expose them as little more than an arm of the Democratic Party, pushing a radical agenda that puts taxpayers on the hook for funding the K-12 education of illegal immigrants,” DeAngelis said.
This comes as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to this harridan for any time at all. She has never cared about educational attainment; for her, it’s all about the left-wing activism, and the fact that she is out there, stumping to have education dollars spent on illegal aliens while at the same time whining about teacher pay and benefits – well, that speaks volumes.
