An Israeli-American reality television personality died after falling from the 28th floor of a luxury hotel in Florida, according to multiple reports.
Yakir Levi, a 45-year-old husband and father of three, fell Monday night from the Acqualina Resort and Residences on the Beach in Sunny Isles Beach, the Daily Mail reported.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews were called at about 9:30 p.m. after reports that an adult man, identified by family members as Yevi, had fallen from the building. He was pronounced dead at the scene, a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet.
Levi is expected to be laid to rest in Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post.
“My dear precious brother. I entrust his soul to the Creator. May someone wake me up from this crazy nightmare,” a woman identified as Yevi’s sister wrote in a Facebook tribute.
Levy appeared over the past year on Israel’s Channel 13 reality series “The Americans,” a program that follows Israeli expatriates pursuing success and the American Dream in the United States.
Born in Ramla, Israel, Levy said on the show that he came to the US with only $300 and later built a multimillion-dollar business restoring buildings damaged by natural disasters, the Jerusalem Post reported.
