The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has apprehended 25-year-old Benwah Wilson following the discovery of over 68 pounds of marijuana at his residence.
In a recent announcement, authorities in Jacksonville, Florida, reported the arrest of Benwah Wilson, aged 25, after a substantial quantity of marijuana was uncovered at his home located on the city’s westside.
The incident unfolded when officers from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about gunshots heard on February 11 near Wilcox Street and West 5th Street. Upon arrival, they noticed Wilson’s home bore multiple bullet holes, prompting them to conduct a protective sweep of the premises.
During their sweep, officers uncovered 68 pounds of marijuana in plain sight inside the house, alongside several bullet holes piercing the interior walls.
Following this discovery, detectives from the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant, which led to the seizure of two firearms—a Glock and a rifle—as well as more than $2,000 in cash.
Wilson now faces a series of charges, including trafficking marijuana, possession of felony paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and knowingly renting a structure for the sale of narcotics. Authorities have confirmed that all these charges are felonies.
Wilson was released on bond.
