JSO: College Park shooting stems from argument during video games

A man is recuperating from wounds after being shot by an unidentified assailant upon opening a door, authorities reported.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officers revealed that a man is on the mend from injuries sustained after an unknown shooter fired at him when he opened a door.

The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday in the vicinity of Broward Road, where the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office discovered the victim with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg.

According to an official statement, the man was visiting a friend’s residence when he responded to a knock at the door and was shot by someone whose identity remains unknown.

He was transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries that are not considered life-threatening, and he is reportedly in stable condition.

In their investigation, detectives scoured the neighborhood for surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses to identify those responsible for the shooting.
