1,958 people got baptized in the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday at The Church of Eleven22’s Beach Baptism 2025 event.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It was a sea of hope at The Church of Eleven22’s beach baptism event at Hanna Park in Jacksonville.

Nearly 2,000 people publicly proclaimed their faith in Jesus among a huge crowd of supporters.

Lead Pastor Joby Martin says this is a day of celebration.

“Baptism serves as a public profession that Jesus Christ is recognized as one’s Lord and Savior. It is not the water that facilitates the baptism, but rather the relationship you hold with Christ through His Gospel,” Martin expressed. “This moment allows us to honor those who have had their sins cleansed and have been reborn into a renewed life.”

Each year the beach baptism has grown in size. The church said more than 11,000 were in attendance this year.

Here’s a stunning drone video captured by The Church of Eleven22 today, which they kindly shared with us. Everyone sporting a red shirt participated in the baptism ceremony at Hanna Park today. Nearly 2,000 people took part! What an awe-inspiring event! #baptismcelebration #beachbaptism #baptism #jacksonville #jacksonvilleflorida
