Jaden Smith made a hasty exit from an interview when the topic turned to Kanye West during the premiere of “Coulda Been Love 2” in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

During the event, a reporter from Complex brought up Smith’s collaboration with designer Steven Smith, known for his work with Kanye West. The reporter inquired, “I see you’re working with Steven Smith, who designed with Ye. What are y’all cooking up?”

Rather than addressing the question, the 27-year-old actor and musician chose to leave the interview abruptly.

In response to Jaden’s unexpected departure, the Complex reporter humorously said, “I guess we’ll never find out.”

Jaden, the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, recently made headlines by being appointed as the first-ever male creative director for Christian Louboutin in September.

He was tasked with overseeing the creation of four collections a year across shoes, leather goods and accessories, according to WWD, and presented his first designs during Paris Fashion Week Men’s last month.

The “Icon” singer also teamed up with renowned sneaker designer Steven Smith for a new design. Steven, 60, famously partnered with West, 48, on the controversial hip hop star’s Yeezy brand.

Reps for Jaden have not immediately returned Page Six’s request for comment.

While it’s unclear exactly why Jaden reacted the way he did at the mention of the “Donda” rapper’s name, several fans took to the comments section of the video of the incident to weigh in on the surprising matter.

“Next time he should just sit his childish as [sic] home, that’s rude and disrespectful,” one person wrote.

“That’s what we get for making these fools stars because of their parents,” added another. “He ain’t done s–t to treat people like that.”

Others, however, defended the “Karate Kid” actor.

“Real s–t,” one fan commented. “You’re interviewing him, why you asking bout Ye?”

“The best way to react to Kanye West is just to ignore his existence,” shared another.

Jaden previously opened up about his friendships with rappers like West, Drake and Donald Glover – and why he no longer hung out with the hip hop icons – during an interview with Complex in 2019.

The “SYRE” artist explained that he was no longer “cool” with the trio because he started making his own music and was no longer their “Little Homie.”

“I always felt like Little Homie before and that allowed me in all of their circles,” he shared at the time. “But now that I’m on the charts next to them, I’m not really Little Homie anymore.”

Jaden later made headlines for walking out of West’s infamous YZY SZN 9 fashion show in Paris in October 2022.

After the “College Dropout” rapper presented his widely controversial “White Lives Matter” designs, Jaden took to social media to write, “Had to dip lol” and “I Don’t Care Who’s It Is If I Don’t Feel The Message I’m Out” followed by a “Black Lives Matter” tweet.

Kendall Jenner — whose sister Kim Kardashian, 45, was still legally married to West, 48, at the time of the “White Lives Matter” controversy — subtly supported Jaden’s decision to walk out by “liking” his tweets at the time.

Jaden and Kendall’s sister, Kylie Jenner, meanwhile, were close friends during their teenage years.

The pair were rumored to be romantically linked in 2013, and the “Never Say Never” rapper even scored an invite to Kardashian and West’s 2014 wedding, where he wore a white Batman suit.

As for West, he threw shade at Jaden’s parents while discussing his and the Skims founder’s “problems” months after they separated in February 2021. The Yeezy founder and Kardashian would officially divorce in November 2022.

“We’re not going for a ‘Will and Jada’ because everybody got problems on both sides,” he told Hollywood Unlocked in January 2022.

Although the Grammy winner didn’t expand on the comparison, some speculated that he was referencing Jada’s “entanglement” with Jaden’s close friend August Alsina.

The “Matrix” star revealed her and Alsina’s “entanglement” during an episode of her Facebook Watch series “Red Table Talk” with Will in July 2020.

Jada also said that her relationship with Alsina occurred while she and Will were separated.
