Something seems amiss.
James Fishback, a contentious candidate in Florida’s gubernatorial race, has recently wed a mysterious woman, following a split from his previous girlfriend, a crypto influencer, just three months ago.
The 31-year-old, who has garnered significant support among Gen Z supporters of former President Donald Trump, posted a photo on Saturday that captured him and his new bride, Valeria, standing at the altar in a Catholic church located in Wildwood, Florida.
Internet users were quick to notice that this seemingly sudden wedding occurred merely weeks after his breakup with Francesca Raine, his former girlfriend.
Fishback had begun his relationship with Raine, who was known in social media circles as “Crypto Barbie” before she deactivated her accounts.
During campaign events, Fishback occasionally introduced Raine as his “wife,” despite their relationship only beginning in January.
In February, he announced that he was single again, explaining that Raine had left him after he joined Tinder with the intention of meeting young female voters.
Little is known about Fishback’s new wife, although he did take time from his schedule to tell The Post her first name is Valeria.
“I’m on my honeymoon with my wife, Valeria. I don’t have time for your AIPAC-inspired fake news,” the “groyper” told The Post — a reference to the pro-Israel lobby group.
Fishback is polling at a very distant second in the Florida GOP primary for governor, which takes place Aug. 18.
Trump-backed Rep. Byron Donalds has the overwhelming lead.
Observers online raised their eyebrows over Fishback’s announcement.
“I thought his girl broke up with him because of Tinder. This a new one?” one X user wrote.
“When you book a reception hall, you gotta use it. Otherwise, you will lose your deposit,” joked a second.
Others pointed out that Fishback, who has spoken against porn and called for a 50% “sin tax” and “simp tax” for OnlyFans creators and their subscribers, was previously dating Raine, who posed nearly nude for a model shoot in 2023.

It follows Fishback’s recent controversy over his former fiancée, who accused him of harassment and stalking.
Keinah Fort, a former employee of Fishback’s debate league, was briefly engaged to the Florida Republican.
She alleged that the relationship began in 2022 when she was 17 and he was 27, stating that they later moved in together and got engaged when she turned 18, according to Florida Politics.
In early 2025, Fort applied for a protective order in early 2025, accusing her ex of stalking her following their breakup.
Fishback vehemently denied the allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a minor, stating that the pair didn’t become romantically involved until Fort turned 18.
A Florida judge denied Fort’s request for a restraining order and cleared Fishback of any wrongdoing.
However, in the wave of the controversy, both Broward County School District and his former debate organization severed ties with Fishback.
