Kayla Rae Reid shared a cryptic message about “betrayal” as her and Ryan Lochte’s divorce and financial woes continue to rage on.

The model shared a slideshow of selfies accompanied by “reminders” she is telling herself “right now” on her Instagram last Friday.

“Sometimes God allows us to face betrayal… because it can lead to a breakthrough,” Reid, 33, wrote alongside a photo of herself wearing a blue and red halter top.

The blond beauty shared another image in which she wrote about having to “heal.”

“You’re stepping into the best chapter of your life — you just have to heal first,” she said.

Reid accused most people of having “no idea” what she has “endured.”

“Ignore their opinions. Truth always reveals itself,” she said.

She then directly addressed her failed marriage to Lochte, writing, “Divorce isn’t the end of my story. It’s the beginning of my rebirth.”

She added, “I didn’t choose to be broken, but I’m choosing to rebuild.”

Reid offered some optimistic final thoughts in the caption of her post.

“First you survive, then you thrive! ✨,” she said before encouraging her fans to save the post in case they needed a “reminder” of their strength.

Reid and the 40-year-old 12-time Olympic medalist got married in 2018, but she revealed last month that they were separating after seven years together.

“After much prayer and reflection, I made the difficult decision to end my marriage,” she shared in a statement on social media. “I hold marriage in the highest regard, so this has been one of the most painful, revealing, and challenging times in my life.”

“Sometimes we face trials we didn’t choose or see coming. And in those moments, we’re forced to make the hardest decisions to protect our peace, our children, and our future,” Reid continued.

The businesswoman explained that “leaving was an act of love.”

She filed for divorce on March 26, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.

Lochte shared at the time that he was “deeply grateful” for the life they built together as well as the “love [they] share” for their three kids: son Caiden Zane, 8, and daughters, Live Rae, 6, and Georgia June, 2.

“Although this decision hasn’t been easy, I believe it’s the right step toward peace and well-being for us both. I remain committed to healing, growth, and co-parenting with care and respect as we move forward separately,” the athlete said.

Days later, Page Six reported that the estranged couple had taken on nearly $270,000 in debt.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, the real estate agent and Lochte owe $99,696 to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). They also reportedly received a $2,231.76 lien from the Fletcher Park Owners’ Association in December 2024, due to “unpaid” costs, “late fees” and “attorney fees.”

The former couple is also on the hook for $127,977.73 to the Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinic, where Lochte may have been treated after getting into a near-fatal car accident in 2023.
