WASHINGTON — Katie Zacharia is embracing the spotlight in her own way.
After serving the shortest tenure of any White House press secretary in U.S. history, Zacharia used Halloween to showcase her slim figure and high-end wardrobe on social media.
On Oct. 30, she shared a “fit check” highlighting the clothes she wore for her lone White House press briefing on Oct. 13. The outfit included a pair of heels priced at about $1,000, a designer blazer and other pieces that brought the total cost to roughly $2,500.
Zacharia also emphasized that she wears a size 00, “even after four kids,” and said her blonde hair is entirely natural, without extensions or dye.
“Good luck,” she added in an X post.

Later, she posted her dogs’ Halloween costumes, which spoofed Politico as “Paw-litico” and Washington Post as “Woofington Post.”
Zacharia lasted five days as White House press secretary from Oct. 12 through Oct. 16. Her abbreviated tenure broke the record 10-day record Anthony Scaramucci previously set as White House press secretary during the first Trump administration.
President Trump had selected her to succeed Karoline Leavitt, whom he frequently praised.
In a split from many of her predecessors, Zacharia decided to hold a briefing on her second day in the job. Many White House press secretaries before her had taken more time to prep before their debut.
She gave a briefing for about 14 to 15 minutes, which was historically short. Her performance was widely panned, and many reporters said she seemed intimidated and not in command of the room.
Then she faced controversy over her claims to be a lawyer despite never passing the bar exam.
Zacharia was pressured out of her role amid the backlash and in the wake of tough interviews on Fox News. She is transitioning into a new role in the Trump administration that is not clear.
Last week, Zacharia jokingly expressed disappointment on Instagram that she wasn’t a more popular Halloween costume for trick-or-treaters this year.

“I hope you do dress up as me because it’s absolutely hilarious. We will be dressing up as a family. I will wear the OG costume and stay tuned to what my kids will be,” she told Newsweek.
Since departing the White House press secretary gig, Zacharia has indicated that she would be willing to serve in the role again in the future if asked by Trump.
