A wild video making the rounds on social media captured the moment shots were fired on the Las Vegas strip near the iconic Bellagio fountains.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed they were responding to a shooting and asked the public to avoid the area.
“Authorities are attending to a shooting incident in the 3600 block of S. Las Vegas Boulevard. The location of the shooting is not within a casino. Please stay clear of the vicinity,” police announced via a post on X.
The event was recorded live on the strip, depicting individuals dropping to the ground and seeking cover after a man seemingly began shooting in a densely populated area.
Footage acquired by Fox News Digital depicts a substantial police presence on the strip. Fox News Digital is in the process of verifying reports that the shooting resulted in at least one fatality.
