Lindsay Clancy holdout juror ‘looked at the case and he made the call,’ his brother says

The lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial ultimately cast his vote after carefully reviewing the case, his brother said.

“For me, that’s how I would do it,” the juror’s brother told the New York Post. “I would just listen to the case with all the evidence, and go from there.”

He acknowledged that the juror’s decision pleased some people while disappointing others.

The brother also rejected speculation that religion influenced the juror’s position, saying, “I don’t think religion had anything to do with it.”

Clancy, 36, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. The children were found strangled at the family’s home in January 2023.

Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4 after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. The panel was deadlocked 11-1.

This is a developing story.
