The lawyer representing the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial is rejecting the accusation that his client refused to apply the law. In an interview preview with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany, attorney Edward Paltzik said juror Michael P. Desronvil was completely certain of his position.
During a preview of an interview scheduled to air Monday on “Fox & Friends,” McEnany asked Paltzik whether Desronvil had experienced reasonable doubt after the jury foreperson sent the judge a note alleging that he would not follow the legal standard.
“Michael had zero doubt,” Paltzik said.
“Zero doubt. No doubt, and he had evidence to back up his position?” McEnany replied.
“A lot of evidence, a mountain of evidence,” Paltzik answered.
Desronvil remained the only juror who had not reached agreement after seven days of deliberations in Clancy’s trial.
The other 11 jurors were prepared to find Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, not criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children. Desronvil instead favored a guilty verdict.
Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4.

Clancy admitted killing her children—5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan—at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023.
Her defense maintained that postpartum psychosis made her not criminally responsible for the killings.
Prosecutors countered that Clancy understood her actions and had planned the killings.
Desronvil later said the physical evidence and testimony from witnesses convinced him that Clancy knew what she was doing.
Prosecutors have not said whether they intend to retry Clancy.
She is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 29.
Fox News contacted defense attorney Kevin Reddington for a response to the allegations, but he has declined to answer the network’s inquiries.
McEnany’s full interview with Paltzik is scheduled to air Monday on “Fox & Friends.”
