Michael Desronvil, the lone juror who refused to reach a verdict in the Lindsay Clancy trial, is preparing to return to his regular routine.
Desronvil became widely known after his role contributed to the mistrial involving the Massachusetts mother accused of killing her children. Now, he plans to return to his day job next week.
His attorney, Edward Paltzik, told TMZ that Desronvil has been “laying low” since the closely watched trial ended.
Paltzik said Desronvil needed time to “process everything” that had happened. During that period, he has regularly attended church and spent time with his girlfriend.
Desronvil hopes to share his side of the story eventually, but for now he does not plan to speak publicly. “It’s been a lot,” Paltzik told the outlet, adding that his client is focused on returning to “normalcy.”
Paltzik said Desronvil is “incredibly grateful and touched” by the support and donations he has received.

The attorney also said he has contacted Massachusetts State Police and the district attorney’s office over concerns about Desronvil’s safety. He fears the juror has been vilified and targeted. Desronvil also plans to file a bar complaint against Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, seeking his suspension or disbarment.
Since the mistrial, Reddington has called for an investigation into Desronvil’s conduct before and during the proceedings. The proposed review would examine whether Desronvil lied on a pretrial questionnaire and whether using a cellphone in the deliberation room violated court rules.
During a podcast appearance this week, Paltzik called Clancy a “demon” and Reddington “a disgrace.” He also warned that an “invasive” investigation of a juror could discourage people from taking part in their civic duty.
Paltzik said Desronvil’s refusal to change his position during deliberations represented his decision to stand against “evil.”
Reddington declined to respond to Paltzik’s remarks.
