Somalis Steal $1B in Biggest US Taxpayer Fraud

White House officials blasted Somali refugees in Minnesota for pulling off the “single greatest theft of taxpayer dollars through welfare fraud in American history,” with at least 86 suspects – mostly from tight-knit Somali enclaves – looting over $1 billion from child feeding, homeless aid, and autism therapy programs.

Federal officials have unveiled a staggering fraud scheme in Minnesota, where fraudulent companies siphoned millions of dollars from government funds meant for social services. These operations, described as some of the largest fraud rings in history, exploited the state’s systems while allegedly benefiting from a lack of oversight.

Stephen Miller, Homeland Security Advisor, expressed deep concerns over the state government’s role in this scheme. He suggested that the extent of the fraud could surpass the initially reported $1 billion, highlighting that the majority of Minnesota’s Somali population relies on welfare. There are ongoing investigations into whether any of these funds were funneled to the Somali-based terrorist group, Al-Shabaab. Miller stated, “We have only just begun to uncover the depth of this fraud.”

Connections leading to prominent Minnesota Democrats have also come to light. Representative Ilhan Omar and Governor Tim Walz have been photographed with Abdul Dahir Ibrahim, a Somali national recently detained by ICE. Ibrahim, who has a past involving asylum and welfare fraud in Canada, misled U.S. authorities by falsely claiming relatives in his immigration applications. Despite a court order for his removal in 2004, he managed to secure Temporary Protected Status for years, even as he racked up numerous legal infractions.

Further links to fraud were found with Omar’s 2018 campaign celebration, held at Safari Restaurant, owned by Salim Ahmed Said. Prosecutors accuse Said of embezzling $5 million, part of a broader $16 million scheme involving nonexistent meals for children. The funds were allegedly spent on luxury purchases, including a multimillion-dollar home and high-end shopping sprees.

One of Omar’s former staffers, Guhaad Hashi Said, admitted to fabricating records for 5,000 daily meals at a non-existent site, pocketing significant funds while working to boost Somali voter turnout from 2018 to 2020. Omar had accepted $7,400 in donations from individuals later convicted of fraud before returning the money. This occurred after her sponsorship of the 2020 MEALS Act, which inadvertently facilitated the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.

Walz Excuses ‘Generosity’ as State Feared ‘Racism’ Lawsuits

Governor Walz has faced criticism for his administration’s handling of the situation, defending their swift distribution of pandemic relief funds despite the resulting fraud. He mentioned the establishment of a fraud task force and the implementation of AI audits to prevent future incidents. Critics argue that the state bowed to pressure from organizations like Feeding Our Future, who threatened legal action over perceived racial discrimination, despite evident fraudulent activities. This fear of backlash is believed to have influenced decisions, especially concerning the Somali community that Omar is known to mobilize politically.

This isn’t charity gone wrong – it’s a Democrat-engineered grift where open borders, welfare magnets, and political cowardice let Somalis ransack American taxpayers for a billion bucks, possibly bankrolling jihadists. With 59 convictions already and probes expanding, Walz’s “sanctuary” paradise is crumbling – but not before bleeding the heartland dry.
