A Mexican national has been taken into custody after attempting a daring climb beneath a bustling overpass in El Paso, located near the U.S.-Mexico border, as shown in video footage released on Tuesday.
This incident unfolded near Loop 375, in proximity to the border wall in the Bridge of the Americas region. The individual was seen skillfully maneuvering beneath the bridge, traversing along the support beams above the ongoing traffic.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed their quick response led to the arrest of the climber.

The Bridge of the Americas serves as a significant crossing point, frequented by both vehicles and pedestrians, highlighting its importance in the U.S.-Mexico border area.
This isn’t the first occurrence of such risky behavior in the vicinity. Back in November 2025, two people employed a similar tactic by climbing beneath the same overpass, using wooden planks to navigate the concrete support beams, as reported by a local news outlet.
It’s not the first time migrants have used this tactic in the area. In November 2025, two individuals climbed beneath the same overpass, navigating between concrete support beams using wooden planks, according to a local outlet.

The latest incident highlights ongoing public safety concerns for both migrants and drivers, as some attempt increasingly risky methods to enter the U.S.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said on Instagram that agents remain vigilant as illegal crossing tactics evolve.

“CBP Officers remain vigilant in the face of evolving and dangerous attempts to enter the United States unlawfully. Strong borders are the foundation of National Security,” the agency said.
