Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore has written a July 4 blog post in which he says he cannot accept the privileges of ‘full citizenship’ until women’s abortion rights in Roe v. Wade are reinstated and ‘every single Republican is removed from office.’

Moore, 68, said he was ‘completely fed up with recent events that have upset my tranquility’ and has made a number of demands which he hopes, in his view, will see the country improve.

But despite making the dramatic proclamation about feeling guilty about his US citizenship, Moore conceded he hadn’t planned anything dramatic in protest.

Rather than try to renounce his passport, or move abroad, he said that he’ll instead spend every waking moment nagging people he meets about the issues which have inflamed him.

Moore hit out at the Supreme Court for overturned women’s federal right’s to abortion and restrictions struck down on the amount of carbon allowed to be released into the atmosphere, put in place by the Environmental Protection Agency in a bid to curb climate change.

Moore summed up his frustrations in a posting on Twitter with the title: ‘A mass shooting to celebrate the 4th. A wealthy class that doubled its wealth while the country suffered. A Supreme Court that stripped 51% of our citizens of their reproductive rights while removing gun laws & killing the EPA.’

The documentary filmmaker claims he is in fact standing up for oft-touted American values of ‘Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness’ but he notes how unsettled he has become following recent events, yet refuses to leave the country.

‘I refuse to live in a country threatened by white supremacy — and I’m not leaving. So we’ve got a problem,’ he began before railing at the recent decision made by the Supreme Court to overturn women’s abortion rights.

‘I cannot in good conscience continue to receive the privileges of ‘full citizenship’ in this land when all of its women and girls have now been declared official second-class citizens with no rights to their own bodies and conscripted to a life of Forced Birth should they fall pregnant and not want to be,’ Moore continued as she commiserated following the overturning of the 1973 court ruling.

Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, pro-choice protests sprung up outside the Supreme Court and in many of the country’s biggest cities.

President Biden accused the court of taking ‘away a constitutional right from the American people that it had already recognized.’

But the veteran lawmaker who’s now commander-in-chief has been questioned about why he didn’t try to codify federal abortion rights during his lengthy career as a senator, or as vice president under Barack Obama.

Moore then turned his attention to the numerous shootings of black Americans which have occurred in recent times.

‘I demand an end to the mass incarceration of Black Americans, an end to police shooting Black people, and I demand that reparations be made to the Black community for all they currently have to suffer and endure,’ Moore proposed.

Looking towards November’s midterm elections at which the Democrats are expected to suffer heavy losses, Moore made the demand that all Republican’s be forced out.

‘I insist we remove every single Republican from office in November. The Republican Party has dismantled itself and its remaining rogue elements now exist purely to overturn legitimate election results and overthrow the elected will of the vast majority of the American people. This must be halted without delay or equivocation.’

Moore made a number of pledges, including promising to ‘not shut up … until women’s rights have been fully reinstated, and their equal rights are enshrined in our Constitution.’

‘If you invite me to dinner that’s all I’m gonna talk about. Have me over to your party … and I won’t stop until Roe is reinstated and 51% of Congress is female,’ he teased.

With a special focus on the restoring of Roe Vs Wade, Moore pledged to organize a ‘massive Get Out The Vote drive amongst the millions who follow me on social media, listen to my podcast, and read my Substack column.’

Moore, who has almost six million followers on Twitter and another million on Instagram said he would happily endorse candidates running for office but only if they signed a pledge backing his ideas.

‘They [must] sign a pledge stating they will vote to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land; make gerrymandering and voter suppression illegal; eliminate the filibuster; upgrade Obamacare to Universal Health Care for All; pass strong gun control laws; and end the police executions and racist incarcerations of Black citizens.’

It is not the first time Moore has seen it fit to make public his demands, however unrealistic.

Following the Uvalde, Texas elementary school shooting in May, which left 19 children and two teachers dead, Moore urged the media to call for an end to the Second Amendment which protects American’s rights to bare arms.

‘We won’t acknowledge that we are a violent people to begin with. This country was birthed in violence with the genocide of the native people at the barrel of a gun. This country was built on the back of slaves with a gun to their back,’ he said while appearing on MSNBC.

‘Who will say on this network or any other network in the next few days, ‘It’s time to repeal the Second Amendment?” he asked.
