LOS ANGELES — Miley Cyrus has been honored with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a fitting tribute to her illustrious career delivered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Friday.
Fans gathered in large numbers, reminiscent of a “Wrecking Ball,” to celebrate the pop sensation. The crowd enthusiastically sang along to her chart-topping hits before the ceremony got underway.
Cyrus’s star is the 2,845th to be added to the iconic boulevard, marking her achievements in the recording category. Her extensive catalog includes beloved tracks such as “The Climb,” “Flowers,” “Party in the U.S.A.,” and her latest collaboration with Brittany Howard, “Walk of Fame.”
During the ceremony, Cyrus shared her thoughts on receiving the honor, emphasizing its deeper meaning.
“What feels so special to me about this star is that it’s an accumulation of devotion,” Cyrus expressed. “The star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something that you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make the next record for and then tote it around like a trophy. My name is laid in gold and pink terrazzo.”
The audience responded with enthusiastic cheers, clearly moved by Cyrus’s heartfelt words.
Fans in attendance spoke about the impact Cyrus has had on their lives.
Rose Angelica said, “She helped me through some really difficult times in life when I thought I was nothing and I felt, like, worthless. She really, really did help me.”

Speakers at the ceremony included actress Anya Taylor-Joy, who praised Cyrus’ influence.
“We’re celebrating a woman who taught an entire generation how to own their own story,” she said.
Fashion designer Donatella Versace also spoke in honor of Cyrus.
It may not be as fashionable as Versace but Cyrus’ star is in front of the now-closed Marshall’s on Hollywood Boulevard.
