Service member among 2 arrested after missing man probe leads cops to body dump site on Army base

A missing-person case in Washington state has become a homicide investigation after human remains were found on military land, prompting the arrests of two suspects, one of whom is an active-duty service member.

The case opened June 12, when Tacoma police received a report that 28-year-old resident Caelick Bradley was missing. Bradley had last been seen on June 8, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Detectives in Tacoma later learned that Bradley’s credit card was being used without authorization, a discovery that led investigators to a suspect identified as Humberto Rodriguez Hernandez.

While being questioned by police, Hernandez shared information about a killing that occurred on Addision Street SW in nearby Lakewood, Lakewood Police Department officials told News Agency.

Hernandez later guided detectives to human remains located in a publicly accessible training area on Joint Base Lewis-McChord property near Spanaway, Washington.

Investigators said Hernandez also named a second suspect, Aydee Casado-Dominguez, who was subsequently taken into custody outside her residence.

Both Hernandez and Casado-Dominguez have been charged with homicide and booked into the Pierce County Jail, LPD officials said.

In a statement provided to News Agency, Joint Base Lewis-McChord confirmed the discovery of the remains and revealed that one of the two suspects taken into custody by the Tacoma Police Department is a service member currently assigned to JBLM.

The Army Criminal Investigation Division is now working closely with both the Tacoma and Lakewood police departments on the ongoing investigation.

While the remains were found following the investigation into Bradley’s disappearance, official identification and the cause of death are pending an examination by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The exact date of the homicide remains unclear.
