A friend of 18-year-old Nolan Wells says the teen was urged to “get the f–k on the boat” moments before he was left behind on Horn Island, according to the man who described himself as Wells’ “best friend.”
Wells disappeared during a Fourth of July boating trip to the barrier island, located about 10 miles off Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. His body was discovered in the water two days later.
The death of the promising young football player has fueled painful questions from Wells’ parents and intense speculation online, with amateur sleuths pressing his friends over why he was left on the island and why they allegedly had his phone and keys.
Warren Hudson, who told The Post exclusively on Tuesday that he considered Wells his “best friend,” said the boat the group had used to reach Horn Island was having trouble with its bilge pump when Wells was repeatedly told to climb aboard.
“My buddy asked Nolan multiple times to get on the boat: ‘Nolan, get on the boat, get on the boat, we’re leaving. If you’re coming, you gotta come now,” Hudson told conservative YouTuber Brandon Tatum.

Hudson said another friend also shouted at Wells, “Nolan, get the F on the boat, we’re leaving, the boat’s having issues.”
“And Nolan made a decision to stay out on the island.”
