The nearly 3-minute-long trailer gives fan a first look at the aftermath of Season 4.
WASHINGTON — The trailer for the final season of “Stranger Things” is finally here.
On Wednesday morning, Netflix unveiled the full trailer for the fifth season of the sci-fi series. This nearly 3-minute preview offers fans their first glimpse into the events following Season 4.
The concluding season starts in the autumn of 1987 as Hawkins grapples with the rifts leading to the Upside Down. The Hawkins team is driven by the common mission to locate and eliminate Vecna.
The official synopsis reveals that the group’s strategy encounters hurdles due to government interference in Hawkins. The fictional town in Indiana is sealed off under military quarantine in the final season, compelling Eleven to go into hiding.
“As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time,” the official synopsis reads.
The trailer ends with the crew appearing to meet with Vecna for an epic battle in Hawkins.
