LOS ANGELES — 20th Century Studios has unveiled a fresh trailer for “Deliver Me from Nowhere,” a biographical film about Bruce Springsteen with Jeremy Allen White (“The Bear”) taking the lead role, set to premiere in theaters on October 24.

The narrative centers on a young Springsteen during the production of his sixth solo album, “Nebraska,” which came out in 1982. It is inspired by the 2023 book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska,” written by Warren Zanes.

“This movie closely examines a few years of my life, particularly when I was creating ‘Nebraska’ and navigating some personal challenges,” Springsteen mentioned. “I’m incredibly grateful to Jeremy Allen White and the whole cast for their touching performances, and to Scott Cooper, who is one of the most supportive collaborators I’ve ever worked with.”

On The Red Carpet caught up with White in May at the Disney Upfront, where he discussed Springsteen’s involvement with the production.

The studio had previously released a 30-second teaser in June, hinting at the official trailer’s launch. It features a cassette labeled “Colts Neck – Demo” and plays the acoustic version of “Born in the U.S.A.”

“Deliver Me From Nowhere” is set to be the opening night film at AFI FEST.

Besides White, the film’s cast includes Jeremy Strong as Bruce Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau, Stephen Graham portraying Douglas Springsteen, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar technician Mike Batlan, Johnny Cannizzaro as musician Steve Van Zandt, Odessa Young as romantic interest Faye, Marc Maron depicting music producer Chuck Plotkin, David Krumholtz as record executive Al Teller, and Gaby Hoffmann as Adele Springsteen.

It’s written and directed by Scott Cooper.

“Deliver Me from Nowhere” premieres in theaters October 24.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of 20th Century Studios and this ABC station.
